Have you ever told a Lie?

You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor (Exodus 20:16)

The dictionary defines a lie as a false statement deliberately presented as being true; a falsehood; something intended to deceive or give a wrong impression. People often claim that they have told only a “white lie.” But there is no difference between a white lie, a half-truth, a fib, or an exaggeration. All are lies in the sight of God. How many murders does one have to commit to be a murderer? Just one. In the same way, if they have told even one lie, no matter what color or size, that makes them a liar.

The Bible tells us that God doesn’t lie, and the Ninth Commandment makes it clear that bearing false witness against our neighbor is wrong. Bearing false witness in order to cause harm to another, or to avoid the consequences of our own wrong behavior, is never acceptable to a holy God who knows our motive.

The path of lies is often the easy path, but it leads to hell. The Bible warns that all liars will have their part in the Lake of Fire (Revelation 21:8). What a fearful thought! People may not think deceitfulness is a serious sin, but God does. Consider what you say before you say it.  Your eternal life depends on it.  Ask God for forgiveness and repent from your sin of being a liar.  May God bless you.

Theft is a Sin

“You shall not steal” (Exodus 20:15).

Most people don’t think that God considers theft to be theft until the value of what is taken impresses Him. However, if I open your wallet and take just one dollar, I’m a thief, and the Bible says that thieves will not enter the kingdom of God. What would be worth stealing for the loss of your soul? Jesus asked, “What is a man profited if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” (Matthew 16:26).

If you take something that is not your own for personal gain it is stealing.  That makes you a thief, no matter size or cost of item, or the circumstance in which you had did it.  God will judge you guilty for breaking the law and sentence you accordingly.  You must admit to your transgression by name, repent from your sin and ask God for his forgiveness.  It is only then that you will escape the wrath of hell and enjoy eternal life in heaven. May the Joy of Jesus be with you always.

Are you adulterous at heart?

"You shall not commit adultery" (Exodus 20:14).

"You have heard that it was said by them of old time, You shall not commit adultery: But I say to you, that whosoever looks on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart" (Matthew 5:27,28).

Lust is especially dangerous because it rarely lies alone. Its bedfellows are fornication, adultery, perversion, rape, and even murder. It burns in the heart of man, and like acid reflux, it forces its way through his flesh in a great all-consuming wave with a mind of its own. Lust caused Herod to murder John the Baptist, the greatest man born of women. It doesn't want a mere half of your kingdom, it wants your head on a plate. It brings forth sin, and sin when it's conceived brings forth death. Proverbs 6:32 warns us, "But whoso commits adultery with a woman lacks understanding: he that does it destroys his own soul."
Men will often deceive themselves by believing that the Ten Commandments condemn only adultery, leaving them free to have sex outside of marriage. However, the Law condemns all unlawful sex. First Timothy 1:8–10 tells us that the Law was also made for fornicators (whoremongers). Galatians 5:19 lists adultery and fornication at the top of the list of works of the flesh.
Are you addicted to pornograhpy?. If you are given to pornography, face the fact that you may not be saved. Get rid of every access to pornographic material—the Internet, printed literature, TV, videos, and movies. Stop feeding the fire. Read the Bible daily, without fail. As you submit to God, the devil will flee (James 4:7,8). The next time temptation comes, do fifty push-ups, then fifty sit-ups. If you are still burning, repeat the process (see 1 Corinthians 9:27).

May the Glory of God be with you!

Thou shall not hate?

"You shall not kill" (Exodus 20:13).

The world looks at the Sixth Commandment and proclaims itself "not guilty." However, God requires truth in the inward parts (Psalm 51:6). In other words, He sees the thought-life—the intent, the innermost motive of every human being. If civil law can prove that you are planning to assassinate the President, you can be prosecuted and severely punished. That law, however, is limited in its search for evidence—it can't see what a man thinks. Not so with the all-seeing eye of our Creator. His Law searches the heart, and He sees "evil thoughts." To even think hatred is to transgress the Sixth Commandment.
Jesus said, "You have heard that it was said by them of old time, You shall not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: But I say to you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment" (Matthew 5:21,22). The Bible further adds that if we hate someone, we are murderers (1 John 3:15). There are many who would like to kill, but refrain because of fear of punishment. God counts them guilty of murder.

As we go though the Ten Commandments, I ask each of us to search our hearts and honestly answer if you are keeping them.  You must know that transgression of any of these will result in a judgement of eternal damnation.  You must repent from these sins and ask for God's forgiveness and put your trust and faith in Him alone. It is then that you will be given everlasting life in the kingdom of God.

Honor Your Mom and Dad

“Honor your father and your mother: that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God gives you” (Exodus 20:12).

The New Testament instructs children to “obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right” (Ephesians 6:1) and “obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing to the Lord” (Colossians 3:20). Are children to obey only the things they want to, or that sound reasonable to them? No; in order to please the Lord, they are to obey “in all things.” That doesn’t mean their parents will always make wise decisions or treat their children as they should, but God will hold the parents accountable for their own actions. Regardless of the parents’ parenting skills, the children are to obey—that is their role for which God will hold them accountable.

To honor our parents is to esteem them, show them respect, and obey them. The best of us haven’t honored our parents as we should.  These commandments, or God's law, brings the knowledge of sin.  By not following them we are showing disrespect and have dishonored our parents.  As parents we must “train up a child in the way he should go” (Proverbs 22:6).  A child who will not submit to the authority of his parents, who are God’s agents to train and discipline him, is very unlikely to submit to God’s authority and obey God’s Laws.

Give your parents the respect and honor by following God's laws.  May God bless you.

Keeping the Sabbath

"Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shall you labor, and do all your work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD your God: in it you shall not do any work...For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: therefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it" (Exodus 20:8–11).

The sabbath day is a time for rest and to give contuing thanks to the Lord our God for all his blessings that he has given us.  Their should be no confusion on what day of the week that the sabbath occurs as the sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath.  This should be a time where you allow your body and spirit to regenerate and also improve your relationship with God.  Ways to spend sabbath that are favorable to God are prayer, meditation, reading the scripture, and bible study with friends and family. Start planning your sabbath day.  Make up your meals the day before so that you won't have to do much work on that day, allowing more time to praise and give thanks to your Lord.

Our salvation is not based off keeping the sabbath, but if we are to live a christian (Christ like) life, then we should follow what our savior did. Jesus did keep the Sabbath. He had to keep the whole Law to be the perfect sacrifice. Can you follow Jesus's example and keep the sabbath?  May God be with you!

Blasphemy

“You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain; for the LORD your God will not hold him guiltless that takes his name in vain” (Exodus 20:7).

Transgression of the Third Commandment reinforces the biblical case that the mind of unregenerate man is hostile to God and His Law, that they “hate God without cause.” This thought is offensive to idolaters, who strongly contest that they don’t hate God. This is because they don’t hate their own concept of God; they are on congenial terms with the idol they have created.
Using God’s name in profanity is perhaps the simplest, most effective way for man to show his contempt toward his Creator. It is also interesting to note that when a blasphemer is questioned about why he would do such a thing, his reaction will often confirm the words of Scripture that he is taking God’s name “in vain.” He will say, “I wasn’t really using God’s name as a cuss word. It’s just a word.” In essence, God’s name isn’t anything special and isn’t worthy of any respect. His attempt at justification merely adds to his sin. It is hard to understand how the world can hold the names of God and Jesus Christ in such disdain that they can be used to express disgust. Hitler’s name wasn’t despised enough to be used as a cuss word.
The names of God and Jesus Christ should be used in worship and thanksgiving, not as part of a swear word in disgust. God on judgement day will "hold him guiltless" for blasphemy.  What is the verdict for you?

Idolatry

You shall not make for yourself any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.  You shall not bow down yourself to them, nor serve them. (Exodus 20:4,5)

The second commandment addresses idolatry and is perhaps the greatest sin of all.  It gives individuals the right to not only tolerate sin, but to agree with it.  The idolater makes a god to suit themselves that has no reference to sin, righteousness, or judgment.  Their god likes the things they like and hates the things they hate.  If their god doesn't mind lust, lying or stealing, then they can do so to their heart's content.  If you make a god in your own image, one you feel comfortable with, you can create your own moral standards to go along with him...or her.  Your god will fill your heart with joy and your spirit with song...right up to judgement day!

Ask the one God and your true Savior for forgiveness and start trusting in the Lord for your salvation.  Destroy all your idols that you are worshiping now and start a relationship your Creator! An eternity in The Lake of Fire awaits for all that choose not to repent and continue to worship their man-made idols.  Please consider your choice well, eternity will be based on it.

Keeping the Law

You shall love the Lord your God with all
your heart, and with all your soul, and
with all your mind, and with all your
strength: this is the first commandment.
Mark 12:30
Over the next several days I will be discussing the 10 Commandments and the implications that go with them.  The first commandment is that should have no other gods before Me.  Gods come in all forms, shapes, and sizes.  Loving something or someone more than you love God is actually breaking this commandment.  You should place God first in your life by following the directions in Mark 12:30.  All things are gifts from God and should be treated as such.  Establish a relationship with God by actively praying to Him and giving thanks for the many blessings He has given you.  Demonstrate your love for Him by keeping his laws and worshiping Him in all ways and at all times.  He wants a relationship with you!  Do not let other "gods" come between you and the Almighty God.  He is the only one that can give you salvation and everlasting life.  May the Lord be with you.

Have you seen 180 the Movie?

180 Movie is a prolife documentary that shows us our lack of education coupled with a love for self that has resulted in a modern day holocaust. The modern holocaust I am talking about are the butchered babies in abortion mills that we call "Planned Parenthood".  Please take the time to view this movie and pass it on to as many people as possible.  The link to this movie is http://180movie.com/pro-life.php or you can view at the bottom of my Blog.  Let's stop the murder of these unborn babies.  God Bless!

Do you consider Yourself a Good Person?

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves,
and the truth is not in us. If we confess
our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our
sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:8,9
How would you answer that question?  I would say the majority sees themselves as good people, but compared to who?  Have you kept the Commandments that God has given us?  By God's standards, only Jesus was "Good" because he was without sin.  We must look at each of the Commandments and recognise that we all fall short, that we have sinned and are destined to be judged guilty by God and sentenced to the Lake of Fire for eternity. What can be done to avoid this from happening?  1 John 1:8,9 gives you the first step to take to have eternal life with God in Heaven.  What is your next step?

First Post

I do believe it is the mandate of the whole Church to go into the whole world and to preach the Gospel to every living creature. I hope that I can use this blog as a means to do that as well as providing information and insight of God's purpose and plan for you and me.
I am currently enrolled in the School of Biblical Evangelism and and still have alot to learn, but my walk with Jesus has improved as I try to live a more Christian life.
I am not sure how this blog will work, how it will get out and be read, how it will be utilized.  I hope that it will inspire conversation and more importantly, reach someone who is lost as does not know Jesus.  It is so important to know that God knows your sins and will judge YOU by the sins you have committed.  All that is guilty will be thrown in the Lake of Fire.  The only way to save your soul is to repent from your sins, accept Jesus as your Savior, and start living a Christian lifestyle.  Start by reading the Gospels in your Bible and start going to a Bible teaching church.  Fellowship with other believers, but most importantly start to pray to God and begin a relationship with Him.
More to come!!!!
