Lets Stop the Killing of Babies

When is it right to kill someone?  That answer is found in Exodous 20:13, "Thou shall not murder." So when is it right to kill a baby in a mother's womb?  Yet this happens everyday in the United States and around the world.  Here in the US the majority of these murders are committed by Planned Parenthood funded by the government with tax payers money. Jesus said, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself.  There is no commandment greater than these."(Mark 12:30-31) We as a nation are falling short and need to do something about it.

What can be done? We need to better inform everyone the harm of abortion, not only killing the baby, but the psychological and physical harm to the mother.  We need to become politically active and support Pro-Life candidates that are willing to stand up for what they believe.  We need to pray and continue to share the Gospel to all that will hear.

You can start by watching "180 Movie" at the bottem of my web page or going to www.180movie.com. Please share this link, Sharing 180, which describes how to share this movie using various methods including Facebook and Twitter.  It all starts with us, will you carry out God's greatest commandments?

Be Bold and Let Your Light Shine

I saw this poem the other day and thought about it quite a bit.  I have fallen way short of what Jesus has commanded me to do, "He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation."(Mark 16:15)  As you read this poem reflect and determine if you are doing what Jesus commanded you to do.

My friend, I stand in judgment now,
And feel that you're to blame somehow.
On earth I walked with you by day,
And never did you show the way.

You knew the Savior in truth and glory,
But never did you tell the story.
My knowledge then was very dim,
You could have led me safe to Him.

Though we lived together, here on earth,
You never told me of the second birth.
And now I stand before etrenal hell,
Because of heaven's glory you did not tell!

Let us do what our King and Savior has commanded us to do.  Talk to our family, friends, neighbors, and strangers about God's moral laws. Show them that they have broken these laws and on judgement day will face God and receive their sentence of eternal damnation. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."(Romans 3:23) Ask them if they will let their pleasures get in the way of their salvation?  Is their life of sin worth an eternity of pain?  Then explain that God sent Jesus here to earth to die for our sins.  He did this so that they would not have to go to hell but spend an eternity in heaven with our Lord and Savior.  All they have to do is repent from their sins and believe that Jesus Christ is their Savior. "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."(Romans 10:9)

Don't let that poem be a tribute to you.  Be bold and proclaim Jesus to "all creation."  Let your light shine for all to see.  May God bless you!

Will God answer my prayers?

Jesus said, "What things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you will receive them, and you shall have them."(Mark 11:24)  This doesn't mean that if you want a million dollars that all you have to do is pray to God and "Poof" it is there.  By asking in this way you are using your covetous heart for earthly things that do not delight or honor our Lord.  "You ask, and not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may consume it upon your lusts."(James 4:3) Your prayer needs should be what you need to serve your King and Savior and not yourself.  Trust in the Lord that he will give you everything you need in this earthly life and pray for opportunities and blessings from Jesus to further His will.

How do you trust in the Lord?  Start by repenting from your sins, obey His laws, and start living a lifestyle that consists of daily prayer, scripture reading, and getting to know on a more intimate level your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Jesus said, "If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done to you."(John 15:7)  If your desires are in line with that of God, then your prayers will be answered and your treasures will be more than you could ever dream of.  Start right now and accept Jesus as your savior. "Delight yourself also in the Lord: and he shall give you the desires of your heart."(Psalms 37:4)

Saved by Grace

Christians believe that we are saved by faith in Jesus Christ our Savior alone and not by any works that we can do.  In all other religions there are certain things you must do, criteria that must be met, before you can obtain heaven or be with their god.  These "works" that must be completed goes completely against what is taught in the Bible. "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved."(Romans 10:9-10) Nowhere does it say that you should pray 6 times a day, give all your money to a religion, or only believe the parts of the Bible you want to believe and change the parts you don't like.

Christian do good works, not to get into heaven, but to show honor and respect to their Savior.  We pray, not because we have to, but because we want a closer relationship with Jesus.  We tithe, not because it is a requirement to get into heaven, but because God instructed us to and we want to follow his word.  We do good works here on earth, not to build up points to achieve eternal life, but because it is pleasing to our Lord and is a good example for others to follow. Jesus said, "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on it's stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."(Mathew 5:14-16)

Start today and give your life to Christ.  Ask him into your life and let your light shine for all the world to see!

Where Can I Find the Truth?

As I continue my walk with Jesus I am always reading and watching videos that will help me with my faith and ability to share it with other people.  The internet has a vast number of resources to help a person in both of these areas.  I have a few links on my web site that includes The Way of the Master, Living Waters, Wretched, Bible Study Tools, and Answers in Genesis.  These are just of few of what is available, but they are all excellent resources for evangelism and studying God's Word.

Even though these are great sites, the best way to find the truth is to open up the Bible and start reading. Get involved in a Christian church that teaches the Bible, God's Laws, and salvation through faith and not by works.  Ask yourself if you are following the Ten Commandments by God's standards.  Remember, he views hatred as murder, lust as adultery.  Have you ever stolen anything in your entire life?  Have you ever told a lie, even a little "white lie"?  God is good and a fair judge, and on judgement day will find you guilty and sentence you to eternity in hell.

But Jesus stepped in and paid your sin debt by dieing on the cross.  He took away all your sins so that God will not have to send you to that lake of fire.  All you have to do is to repent (acknowledge and ask for forgiveness) for your sins and and put your faith in and follow Jesus Christ. "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and Only Son, that whoever should believe in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)  God loves us and want us to be with Him in heaven.  That is where the truth is.  Find it before it is too late.

Ape to Man Falousy Exposed!

One of the web sites that I promote on my blog is Living Waters. They along with Ray Comfort have produced an excellent movie/documentary that helps to clear up once and for all the ridiculous notion that man descended from apes.  Ray interviews numerous professors and college science students asking where the proof is of Darwin's theory of evolution, that man descended from apes.  One by one each person failed to produce any visible evidence of one species evolving into another.  What was so amazing was that all of these science students and professors had put their faith in science books written by scientist in whom themselves did not observe or were able to reproduce their "theories" that they were putting out as "fact".

After watching this movie you will see that all living things were designed and made by one Creator. The Bible states, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." (Genisis 1:1) "So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them." (Genisis 1:27)  For those that don't believe that the Bible is factual, throughout the years scientists have used information found in the Bible to assist in archaeological finds and recreate past civilizations.  The Bible is God's truth and we should have more faith in it's authenticity than we do in the science books that have yet to prove one single time the ridiculous notion that we came from apes.

You can decide for yourself. Watch the movie Evolution vs. God, Shaking the Foundation of Faith. Share this with your friends that believe there is scientific evidence to evolution.  Thanks be to God!!

What if you are wrong?

I know there are some of my friends that are wondering why I started this blog or since when have I became "this christian nut".  Working through my courses in the School of Biblical Evangelism, I have come to see how big of a sinner I truly am and what Jesus did to take away my sin debt, so that if I repent from my sins and put my faith in the Lord, I can be saved and have eternal life.  What a wonderful gift!!  I want to share this gift with everyone I know, especially my friends and family. "And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.  Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."" (Matthew 28:18-20)

If you don't believe in what the Bible is telling us then one of us is wrong.  If I am wrong, I will be ridiculed and made fun of as a God freak.  My reputation is damaged, I may loose my friends, job, family, even my life because of my beliefs.  When I die I will be buried 6 feet under ground, soon forgotten, but that will be it.  My body will decay with time but that will be it.  But if you are wrong, that is not it.  All the time you spent not keeping God's Laws and accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior, when you leave earthly things behind you will be judged for all your sins accordingly.  Your sentence will be the lake of fire where you spend eternity writhing in pain and anguish. Time on earth is but a moment, here today and gone tomorrow, but eternity is never ending, forever and a day.

To avoid eternity in hell, you must repent from all your sins and put your trust and faith in the Lord.  This means giving up all the pleasures of the flesh and follow Jesus without doubt or waiver.  "And He was saying to them all, "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me."" ( Luke 9:23)  Start a relationship with your Savior by praying and reading the Bible daily.  You don't want to be wrong about this!

The Bible is an Awesome Read

As I try to read the Bible on a daily basis (key word is try), it blows my mind how historically factual it is and that it has the answers to so many of my life's issues if I would just choose to believe and let God.  My failing is that I am a wretched sinner and fall short of God's grace.  But Jesus died on that cross and by doing that he paid the price of our sins and gave us the gift of everlasting life.  The Bible is our guide to salvation.  It gives us laws to live by and makes us closer to our savior.  We just need to read and put into practice what we learn.  The Bible declares that it is the Word of God, His communication with humanity.  We learn from it about the existance and nature of God; a personal, infinite God who created the entire universe and created us in His own image.  We also discover the identity and purpose of man.  Take some time everyday and get ito the "Good Book".  You will be surprised on what answers you may find for yourself.

It takes faith to be an Atheist

To be an atheist you must know without a doubt that there is no God. This is an absolute statement requiring absolute or total knowledge.  Thomas Edison said, "We don't know one millionth of one percent about anything."  If the atheist would have 1% knowledge of the whole universe, there is 99% that he has no knowledge of and therefore he would have to acknowledge that God may exist.  If that person insists that even with his lack of knowledge there is no God then in the strict since of the word they cannot be an atheist.

The professing atheist is actually known as an "agnostic" or one who expresses ignorance to the existance of God.  It is not that an atheist can't find God, but that he won't.  This can be rightly compared to a thief that can't find a policeman.  An atheist that acknowledges that there is a God is admitting that he is ultimately accountable to him.  This can be a very unpleasant thought for some.

I will continue to pray for those who are lost and do not know that Jesus is their Lord and Savior and is the only way to escape an eternity in hell.  "The fool has said in his heart, There is no God.  They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none thats done good." (Psalms 14:1)  May God bless you and keep you safe.

Check you Conscience

The dictionary defines the conscience as “the human faculty that enables one to decide between right and wrong acts or behavior, especially in regard to one’s own conduct.” This is what the Bible is speaking of when it says that God has given “light” to every man. The word “conscience” (con + science) means “with knowledge.” Whenever we sin, we do so “with knowledge” that what we’re doing is wrong.

God gave us the Ten Commandments and placed them in our hearts.  We know what is right or wrong and have the choice to decide and act on them.  God also knows our choice and will judge us accordingly. God gave you a conscience; you know right from wrong. Listen to the voice of your conscience. It will remind you of sins that you have committed.

If you have broken any of God's laws, and lets face it, we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23), eternal damnation in hell awaits.  You must acknowledge and repent from these sins and ask for God's forgiveness. For God so loved the world that He gave His one and Only Son that whoever shall believe in Him will not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). Jesus gave his life to take away our sins if we will believe and place our trust and faith in him alone.  It is not too late!!

The Quiet Sin of Covetousness

"You shall not covet ...anything that is your neighbor’s” (Exodus 20:17)

Covetousness is perhaps the most subtle of sins. It seems minor compared to adultery, theft, or rape. However, before a man steals, he covets. Before he rapes or commits adultery, he covets. Covetousness is the spark that sets off the fuse of sin. It is a sin that lies close to the surface of every human being. Few children are content with ten pieces of candy when the child next to him gets eleven. Covetousness is the bedfellow of jealousy, greed, and lust.

Who of us can stand guiltless and say that we have never jealously desired something that belongs to someone else? Whether we long for an-other’s house, car, income, or lifestyle, our covetousness reveals a lack of gratitude for what God has already given us.   It’s important to warn those who are guilty of this “harmless” sin that according to Scripture, “No covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God” (Ephesians 5:3,5). In coveting, a person transgresses not only the Tenth, but also the First and Second Commandments. When he loves material things more than he loves God, he is setting his affections on the gift, rather than on the Giver.

Do you Covet?  Repent from your sins, stop asking or wanting for what your neighbor has and you do not, and give thanks to the Lord for everything that you do have.  God will provide everything you need in life both here and in his eternal kingdom.  Peace be with you.
