This is a question that man has asked throughout the ages, searching for an answer that will satisfy their earthly needs. They look to education, money, or love thinking that one of those must be the meaning of life. But the answer has been there the entire time, since the origin of man. See the simple answer to "What is the Meaning of Life?" is to "KNOW GOD." God created man for the sole purpose to have a relationship with him. God does not need man, but man definitely needs God. We created a barrier between us and God called sin. Sin is anything that displeases God. Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Man's penalty for sinning is death and eternal damnation. But God doesn't want any to parish so he sent his son Jesus Christ to take the form of man and live a perfect life without sin. Romans 5:8 tells us, "But God commendeth his love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Jesus was crucified on a cross bearing the past, present and future sins of all mankind. He shed his blood to forever clean all those sins for you and me. He died and was buried wiping our sin debt away. But it doesn't end there. He arose in three days conquering death and assuring us of eternal life with God. God gave us this free gift because he wants that relationship with us. Will you accept that free gift of salvation? To do so you must turn towards Jesus and place your trust in him as Lord and Savior. To know God is the true meaning of life. Your Heavenly Father wants a relationship with you today. Don't wait, get to know him through reading the Bible and talking to Him through prayer.
